Today, we celebrate the first ever National Caesar Day!
Though Calgary has long proclaimed the origins of the famous Canadian cocktail, the almighty Caesar. you’re bound to find a bar with it’s own take on this classic, typically made with vodka, Clamato juice, Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce and some celery salt, in just about any city across the country.
In honour, we’d like to share our own Alberta-inspired Caesar:
1.5 oz Alberta Premium Dark Horse Rye
3-4 oz Mott’s Clamato juice
1 dash Tabasco sauce
3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Method: Wet glass rim with lemon wedge, rim with Old Chicago Steak Spice. Add Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce to glass and fill with ice. Top with Mott’s Clamato juice and garnish with your favourite tall vegetable.
